I don’t condemn anyone, firstly, so I can’t say, “prostitution is a sin”. No action is a sin in itself, except for those actions which are inseparable from malicious intent; rather, it is the intent of the actor, not the action itself, that condemns them.

In the case of prostitution, especially in an economy such as ours where unemployment is rising each day and more people are loosing the ability to even find jobs, it may be done for legitimate purposes. However, it may also be done to abuse and disrespect the body. In the latter case, not the former, it is sinful.

But I will make this clear: prostitution is always dangerous. There is no safe way to do it, except for extremely high-end escorting services. Prostitutes should always use protection, and learn to defend themselves, so that they can survive.
