The Trinity is the first thing we learn about God after learning that he is God…
“In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth; the earth came to formless and void, and darkness was upon the face of the abyss. And the Spirit of God hovered over the waters. And God said, “Let there be Light!” and Light was.”
God the Father made all things by his power and will, the Holy Spirit, and through his Image, the Son. Without the interaction of the Spirit over creation, nothing would be, and without the Son, nothing would be. John 1 tells us that the Son of God, the Word, is the Light, and that this Light was in the beginning with God. Genesis 1:1 introduces God the Father; Genesis 1:2 introduces God the Holy Spirit; and Genesis 1:3 introduces the Light, the Word, the Son.
I’m not denying that these verses have an application in the actual formation of the manifest world. But even this manifest world demonstrates, rather, identifies, God. “For since the creation of the world, his invisible attributes have made visible by things which he has made, both his eternal Power and Godhead.”
